About SpaceTrade

SpaceTrade is a mobile platform for gift card trading and other digital services. Its Android and iOS apps list bill payments, airtime, data, eSIMs, virtual cards and cryptocurrency alongside gift cards. The platform lists Nigeria and South Africa among its supported markets.

How we tested SpaceTrade

We tested SpaceTrade on 16 September 2026 using a $20 US Razer Gold e-code. Following our How We Review process, we completed the required KYC, checked the rate, submitted the card, contacted support and withdrew the payment.

The card was submitted at 12:33 AM and completed at 12:41 AM, so the gift card trade took eight minutes. At ₦1,130 per dollar, the card produced ₦22,600 in the wallet. The separate bank withdrawal took one minute. SpaceTrade charged a ₦100 withdrawal fee, leaving ₦22,500 in the bank account.

Trading experience

SpaceTrade required two verification levels during the test. Level 2 asked for a BVN or NIN and was approved in about 30 seconds. Level 3 required a selfie with a government-issued ID and was approved in about one minute.

The Razer Gold card was submitted under the correct category and completed in eight minutes. The full ₦22,600 trade value entered the wallet, so the ₦100 difference in the bank payment came from the withdrawal fee rather than a lower gift card rate. In-app support responded in two minutes during a genuine dispute recorded in the test.
