Cardify Africa completed our $20 Razer Gold trade at the displayed rate of ₦700 per dollar. The full ₦14,000 trade value was credited to the Cardify balance, and ₦13,900 reached the researcher’s bank account within one minute after a ₦100 withdrawal fee. However, the gift card trade itself remained pending overnight. Email support responded quickly, and the platform also offers useful features such as wallets, virtual cards and bill payments.

Our review

About Cardify Africa

Cardify Africa is a Nigerian financial technology platform that brings several services into one account. Users can trade unused gift cards, manage digital wallets, buy gift cards, pay bills and access virtual or prepaid cards. Its official website also promotes cryptocurrency transactions and US account features.

How we tested Cardify Africa

We tested the gift card trading service with a $20 US Razer Gold e-code on 3 September 2026. The test covered account setup, KYC, the rate shown before submission, trade processing, withdrawal to a Nigerian bank account and a support enquiry. You can read more about the process on our How We Review page.

Trading experience

Cardify displayed a rate of ₦700 per dollar for the $20 Razer Gold card, giving an expected trade value of ₦14,000. The trade credited ₦14,000 to the researcher’s Cardify wallet. After Cardify deducted its ₦100 withdrawal fee, ₦13,900 reached the researcher’s bank account.

The main problem was the waiting time. The trade was submitted at 6:08 pm and completed at 9:05 am the following morning. The researcher recorded the processing period as roughly 16 hours. This was separate from the bank withdrawal, which took one minute after the balance became available.

While the trade was pending, the in-app chat did not work properly and the transaction status did not update after payment. The order still appeared as pending even though the money had been released. These issues made it harder to know what was happening without contacting support.

There was no charge for the gift card trade itself. Cardify charged ₦100 when the researcher withdrew the ₦14,000 balance, leaving a final bank payment of ₦13,900.

Positive reviews highlight Cardify's clean interface, simple navigation, and quick registration process. Users praise the ease of creating virtual cards, purchasing gift cards, and funding accounts. Several reviewers also commend the platform for fast transaction processing and responsive customer support.

Conversely, negative feedback centres on technical failures, including restricted early-morning logins, wallet access errors, and virtual cards becoming stuck or deactivated. Many users complain about blocked withdrawals, high transfer fees, unfavourable exchange rates, and unexpected charges on transaction holds. Unresponsive customer service and strict document verification requirements are also cited.

Notably, several long-term users state that the app previously performed well, but recent system failures have left their funds temporarily locked and virtual cards unusable.

  • TikTokCardify has improved its UI to make explicit their 1.5% charge on every deposit. You will need about $5 to create a dollar card on their app and the rate is currently about ₦1,800 per dollar. The CEO (@Tunde Buremo) is a very honest and great guy who is trying to build a great product, but the charges are just way too high I can't recommend them right now. #fintech #moneyappView original post
